Introduction:

3,4-Dihydro-2H-pyran, referred to as DHP, is an organic intermediate, often used as a protecting group. 3,4-Dihydro-2H-pyran can be prepared from tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol.

Application:

Medical intermediate, used for 1,5-dichloropentane, and then can be used to synthesize heptanediamine, heptanediol acid, and used in the production of synthetic fibers, etc.
